Frequently asked questions
Which kit fits phone and laptop repair?
Any precision set. The 55, 130 and 166-in-1 list pentalobe bits by name for phone housings, and the 122 and 138-in-1 add a magnetic screw memory mat so screws go back in the right holes.
Ratchet set or precision set?
Ratchet sets drive full-size screws in furniture, bikes and cabinets, with a 58-tooth ratchet that turns in a 6.2° arc. Precision sets drive the small screws in phones, laptops, consoles, glasses and watches. The 71-in-1 carries both drivers in one case.
Can a mini electric screwdriver remove tight screws?
Not on the motor alone. Electric torque runs 0.1 to 0.35 N·m, set for small electronics screws. The 34, 52 and 167-in-1 turn by hand at up to 5 N·m and the 62-in-1 at 3 N·m, so break a tight screw loose by hand, then let the motor run it out.
What does the triangle-head set open?
Triangle screws in sizes TA14, TA18, TA20, TA23, TA27 and TA30, common on children's toy battery doors, power strips and small appliances. Two pry tools and a pouch come with the six drivers.
Are the bits magnetic?
Yes in every screwdriver kit. Most also include a magnetizer/demagnetizer, which restores hold on worn bits or removes magnetism near parts you want to keep clear of it.
Why do several kits show the same rating?
The marketplace pools ratings across related kits. All seven precision sets share one pool (4.7, 7,708 ratings) and all four ratchet sets share another (4.6, 2,463). Electric kits are rated per model, except the two 58-in-1 kits, which share 164 ratings.
Do the color options change what's in the box?
The 55, 130 and 150-in-1 colors are listed under the same set name and piece count. For the 150-in-1, only the orange listing states the full composition (120 bits plus 30 accessories).
Where do I buy, and who handles returns?
Buy Now opens the product listing. The seller handles orders and returns. The 117-in-1 listing states a 24-month warranty and 90-day money-back; the 66-in-1 listing states a 30-day return.
